Black and blue hat

This is again one of the hats my brother can choose from. I think he'll favor this one, but I need to make it larger, as it barely fits my head! This is using acrylic yarn in k2p1 rib, then stockenette.

Beanie style cap

Worsted weight yarn
Set of 5 double pointed needles

Cast on 72 sts (18x4)
Work in K2, P1 ribbing for 10 rounds.
Round 11: *K8, inc 1
Knit 11 rounds main color
Knit 11 rounds contrasting color
Knit 11 rounds main color
Round 45: *K7, K2tog
Round 46: Knit
Round 47: *K6, K2tog
Round 46: Knit
Round 47: *K5, K2tog
Round 48: Knit
Round 49: *K4, K2tog
Round 50: Knit
Round 51: *K3, K2tog
Round 52: Knit
Round 53: *K2, K2tog
Round 54: Knit
Round 55: *K1, K2tog
Round 56: Knit
Round 57: *K2tog

Pull yarn through rem sts and pull through 'hole' in the middle. Darn in ends.
